Papermaking Workshop
Make your own handmade paper using a variety of techniques, including different colors and additives. All skill levels welcome! This workshop is led by professional papermakers who will assist and offer experienced insight into the world of papermaking, whether it’s your first time, or you’ve couched a sheet or two before. All materials and tools included! Come ready to roll up your sleeves and get your hands in some pulp. We’ll take care of the drying, and you can pick up your paper in 3-4 days or have it mailed.
Stations include:
· Plain paper, using a blend of high quality, archival cotton and abaca fibers to create a natural off-white sheet of paper
· Color paper - Two different color stations
· Speckles - Recycled print scraps added to the pulp creating sheets with different colored speckles.
· Pulp Pouring- each sheet can be totally different. Create your mixture and pour into the screen to create a unique sheet of paper. Include an array of fun additives like dried flowers, gold leaf, and yarn clippings, or bring your own! This is also a great technique to use multiple colors in the same sheet
Each participant will be able to make 10-20 sheets of paper
