For a very limited time, the historic W.H. Jones Mansion becomes the home and studio of artist-in-residence Sophia Peck (Majestica), inviting the public into the rarely seen world of a contemporary working artist.

Over the course of one month, the mansion transforms into a living installation where guests are welcomed into Majestica's evolving creative practice through a series of immersive events. Rather than exhibiting only finished works, this residency offers a rare opportunity to witness the artistic process as it unfolds—observing ideas become sketches, sketches become paintings, and the mansion studio itself become part of the artwork.

At the heart of the residency is the Salon Studio, inspired by the Parisian salons of the Enlightenment, where artists, musicians, writers, and curious minds gathered in private homes to exchange ideas, share works in progress, and inspire one another. Reimagined for Columbus, the Salon Studio events are intimate creative gathering where making art is a shared experience. Guests are encouraged to bring a sketchbook, watercolor set, journal, knitting, crochet, or another creative project to work on while enjoying conversation, music, and the atmosphere of the mansion. Each Salon Studio also features Open Decks, inviting guest DJs to contribute to the evening's soundtrack. Approved DJs may perform using a Rekordbox-formatted USB or their own laptop.
